Top 5 Helpful Skateboard Websites:
First post, I'm new to the whole blogging thing so bear with me. Anyway, I'm living in the UK and as a youngish skater there is a great scene with many willing to help you improve. I love this about skating and even if you're learning to skate by yourself there are still many ways you can pick up new tricks or discover the best skate spots near you. So as this seems a suitable first post, I present you with my top 5 skateboarding websites that you can learn from. I tryed to go for a mix of sites rather then just tricks n' tips, they're all great and although put in an order don't neccesarily mean anything:
1. WWW.Board-Crazy.com
This site is great, it not only has a good section for begginers but also has one of the best trictionaries ever, with lots of detail, however it lacks visual images/videos.
2. WWW.Skateboard.about.com
This site is also another jem with helpful reviews and lists as well as handy links but can lack in detail. Having said that it's agreat starting place and you can deflfinatly tell the writer has huge passion.
3. WWW.Transworld.com
This is sick for learning tricks and also maintains a good list of skateparks to search through.
4. WWW.Skatepark.com
Much like transworld holds a directory of skateparks however Skatepark.com's directory is enourmous.
5. WWW.Skateboardsofchoice.com
Extremely helpful for US skaters for buying new gear. Especially if you have an idea specifically of what you want.
Thanks a lot, and hope this helped. Now stop reading this and get out and skate! ;)
